Location:
Anjarle or even known as Anjarla is Located in KonkaN region, at the north most part of the Ratnagiri district, sub-district Dapoli, in the state of Maharashtra, India near Harnai ( हणै) port. Harnai is only 7 KM away from Anjarle.

It is located 227 KM from Thane 
and 232 KM from Mumbai.

Another adjoining village called "MURDI" ( मुर्डी ) is part and parcel of Anjarle. Both are twin villages and shares the local authorities the "Gram Panchayat"

History
Anjarle and Murdi both were under the control of Angre Dynasty and then were brought under the control of Peshwe dynasty. A family called "Bhat Mahajan" were the priest of Peshwe Dynasty.

Population and Education
Population of Anjarle including Murdi is around 2,600 (As per 2010 records Anjarle's population is 1654 and Murdi's population is 966) with excellent literacy ratio.

It has a vernacular as well as English medium School, for college the students have to go to the district place of Dapoli.

Girls High school was started in Murdi from the donations given by Ranglor Paranjpe. The education in this school was totally free of cost.

Tourist Attractions

1. Big white coloured Ganesh temple on the hill top called 'Kadyavaril Ganapati Mandir'. The temple is around 200 years old renovated in the year 2000. The construction of the original temple was started in 1774 and was completed in 1784.

1. Anjarle has a clear beach of around 2 Km. The sea shore is full of white sand.

1. Sea Fort called 'Suvarna Durga' is located near by. It is constructed by the great Shivaji. On a special request a tour can be arranged in a boat from Anjarle or Harnai. The boat ride takes around 15 minutes from Anjarle and 10 minutes from Harnai.

1. Dolphin Safari. you can watch Dolphins swimming fearlessly in their natural habitat. The visit can be arranged from Anjarle.
