Now Tiana will install Gas fired power plant in place of Thermal Power Plant.

Tiana Power Projects Pvt. Ltd., a flagship company of Tiana Group, announced to invest Rs.42,848 million ($936.51 million) for the construction and development of gas fired power plant to be located at Anjarle in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, India. 

The project cost will be investment through internal accruals of the company. The total installed capacity of the project will be 1,600 MW. The company has entered into a technical collaboration with Kepco E&C of South Korea for erection project consultancy for power project. 

The cost per MW is estimated to be Rs. 26.78 million ($0.58 million). The construction of the project is expected to take about 3-4 years from the date of the construction.

टियान पॉवर प्रकल्प

टियाना ग्रुप १६ हजार ८०० कोटी रुपयांची गुंतवणूक करून महाराष्ट्रात एकूण तीन वीज प्रकल्प उभारणार आहे. रत्नागिरी जिल्ह्यात दोन औष्णिक वीज प्रकल्प दाभोळ आणि आंजर्ले येथे उभारले जातील. तिसरा प्रकल्प कराड येथे उभारण्यात येईल. या प्रकल्पासाठी जमिनी विकत घेताना शेतक-यांशी थेट संवाद साधून चालू बाजारभावापेक्षा अधिक मोबदला देऊन जमिनी खरेदी करण्यात येतील, असे कंपनीच्या संचालकांनी सांगितले. त्यामुळे दडवून, फसवून किंवा दडपणाने जमिनी घेतल्या अशी तक्रार राहणार नाही, असे ते एप्रिल २०१० मध्ये म्हणाले.

दापोलीच्या आंजर्ले येथे सहा हजार कोटी रुपयांची गुंतवणूक करून १५०० मेगावॅट क्षमतेचा औष्णिक उर्जा प्रकल्प उभारण्यात येणार आहे. हा प्रकल्प २५०० एकर इतक्या भूभागावर असेल. सरकारने वेळेत मंजुरी दिल्यास तो तीन वर्षांच्या आत पूर्ण करता येईल. जर कोळश्यावर आधारीत प्रकल्पाला मंजुरी मिळाली नाही तर हा प्रकल्प नैसर्गिक वायू वर चालवण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्यात येऊ शकतो. 

टियाना ग्रुप प्रकल्प उभारताना प्रथम शैक्षणिक आणि वैद्यकीय सुविधा देणार असून प्रकल्पग्रस्त शेतकर्यांच्या  मुलांना शिक्षणही पुरवणार आहे. तसेच हा प्रकल्प जपानी तंत्रज्ञानाच्या मदतीने ( मित्सुबिशी कंपनीची मदत घेतली जाणार आहे) उभारणार असल्याने प्रदूषणाच्या बाबतीत आपोआप काळजी घेतली जाईल. या प्रकल्पासाठी वापरण्यात येणारा दगडी कोळसा इंडोनेशियातून खरेदी करण्यात येईल.भारतीय कोळश्यातून ३७ ते ३९ टक्के राख निर्माण होते, तर इंडोनेशियन कोळश्यातून फक्त १३ टक्के राख तयार होते, कोळशापासून तयार होणारी राख कोकणाबाहेर नेऊन तेथे राखेवर आधारित प्रकल्प उभारण्याची ग्वाही त्यांनी दिली. तसेच प्रदूषण नियंत्रणात ठेवणार्या वृक्षांची लागवड करण्यात येईल आणि पाण्यासाठी स्वत: धरणही बांधण्यात येईल, असे ते म्हणाले.

Why citizens oppose power plant in their neighbourhood!

Every one understands the need for generation of power but no one wants the power plant in their neighbourhood. People fear that industries will fail in fulfilling their commitment towards environmental protection and they doesn't have faith in Government's environment protection agencies that they will monitor the pollution and take effective action against the polluting industries.


They feel that Govt. Is not disclosing the real facts and fear about environmental decay.
People are not being involved in deciding appropriate development plans.
Govt. Should engage People, encourage them to actively participate in environmental protection and also in monitoring. Citizens should be encouraged to form monitoring agencies at local level and such monitoring bodies should get enough rights to control the industries. 

While acquiring land the farmers should get more than enough compensation towards sacrificing their land. The land should be acquired for a price much above the current market price.
